Hermes Fund Managers has hired Zoë Shaw as head of fixed income to broaden its range of bond products.

Ms Shaw joins in the newly created role of head of fixed income and joins from Promethion Limited, a specialist fixed income investment advisory firm where she was managing director since 2009.

Prior to that, she was founder and managing partner of New Bond Street Asset Management, a fixed income asset manager that had €8bn (£6.4bn) of assets under management at its peak.

Hermes said Ms Shaw would be “looking to build on the strong fixed income and credi capabilities already in place”.

Chief executive Saker Nusseibeh said Ms Shaw would “play an integral role” in creating a range of specialist credit capabilities.

The group’s existing fixed income funds include Fraser Lundie’s Global High Yield and Multi Strategy Credit funds and Penni Coe and Paul Syms’ Active UK Inflation-Linked fund.
