Ascentric has appointed Sarah Lyons as its new head of marketing, taking over from Dominic Ventham, who left in late April to join Friends Life as head of marketing and customer experience.

Ms Lyons joins from Axa Wealth, where she was most recently senior marketing manager for Axa Wealth Elevate.

Ms Lyons was with Axa Wealth since launch in November 2002, and took on the roles of platform and channel marketing manager, head of marketing communications and head of brand and customer experience during her 12 years at the firm.

Mike Morrow, sales and marketing director for Ascentric, said he was delighted to have attracted someone of her calibre to the management team at “this vital stage in the growth of our platform”.

He said: “Her understanding of communications and promotion will be critical as we take new and existing advisers on the journey to overhaul our back office systems in 2015.”

Ms Lyons said: “I’ve always admired the independence and adviser focus of the Ascentric business and the opportunity to contribute further to its success at this exciting time for the platform market is very appealing.”
