The Sense Network has appointed Steve Young as its chairman with immediate effect.

He has been commercial director of Sense since January 2012 and has over 35 years’ experience in retail financial services, including senior positions with banks, providers and advice firms.

Tim Newman, the network’s managing director, commented: “Steve’s role has naturally evolved over the last three years and, as chairman, Steve will lead our work with external partners and work closely with me on developing our business plans.”

Mr Young added: “Over the past few years, Sense has developed into a strong and profitable business and is rapidly becoming the network of choice for professional financial planning businesses.

“We have some exciting plans to improve the quality of the services we offer to our members and I am confident that Sense will continue to go from strength to strength.”
