Ashton Bradbury set to retire

Old Mutual Global Investors UK equity manager Ashton Bradbury will retire at the end of the year.

Mr Bradbury, who has played a key role in the company’s UK equities activity, said he would “pursue a somewhat less hectic pace of life” after 16 years of commuting between South Wales and London.

Tim Service has been appointed as a co-manager to Mr Bradbury on the Old Mutual UK Specialist Equity Fund, and will take over from his as lead manager of the fund at the end of the year.

Julian Ide, chief executive of Old Mutual Global Investors, said: “I am grateful to Ashton for the guidance, stewardship and commitment to building the UK Equities business prior to, and since Richard joined the company.

“He has made a vital contribution to our management teams over many years, and particularly since I joined the company.”
