National wealth manager Towry has bolstered its Leeds office with four new wealth advisers, Mark McCormack has said.

The wealth advice manager for Towry said the four newcomers have joined as a result of the recent acquisition of Baker Tilly’s private client financial advice and investment management business. The advisers, who will work from the office in Toronto Square, Leeds, all have significant experience offering financial advice, he said.

The four are: Ian Gibson, who has more than 20 years in financial services; Peter Davey, a financial planner working towards chartered status; David Firth, who has been a financial adviser since 1999; and Owen Thomas, a chartered financial planner with more than 10 years’ experience.

Mr McCormack added: “These four, specialising in a range of specific financial needs, will enhance and strengthen our wealth management offering in Yorkshire.”

This comes as national advisory firm LEBC group, part of TenetConnect, announced it was seeking to attract additional qualified advisers and para planners in all locations over the next year.

According to Jeremy Macleod, the chief operating officer for LEBC, this is to cater for a “considerable uplift” in the firm’s business levels.
