OM Wealth hires Openwork CEO for distribution role

Old Mutual Wealth are set to appoint Mary-Anne McIntyre as chief distribution officer, who is moving from being chief executive at Openwork to be replaced by Mark Duckworth.

Ms McIntyre will join OM Wealth in early September after her notice period as chief executive at Openwork ends.

She will report to chief executive Paul Feeney and her new role will draw together all distribution activities across the vertically integrated business, as well as involving product development and marketing.

Previously, Ms McIntyre has held board and leadership positions at Fidelity International, Invesco Perpetual and Deloitte, while also helping establish businesses including FundsNetwork, Nucleus and Omnis.

As her replacement, Openwork will promote Mark Duckworth from the role of managing director, which he has held since 2011.

He will assume the new role with immediate effect, subject to necessary approvals being granted, leading the six-strong senior management team, with responsibility for 3,000 advisers across the group.

Christopher Rodrigues, chairman of the group, commented: “Having performed the role of managing director with distinction over the last three years, Mark was the natural choice for the role of CEO.

“I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone at Openwork to thank Mary-Anne for her hard work and commitment and we wish her all the best for the future.”

Prior to joining Openwork, Mr Duckworth was distribution and partnerships director at Living Time, a company providing products to the retirement income market. He has also worked as distribution director for Europe and the Middle East for Prudential and as a national sales manager at Axa.
