National independent financial advisory firm Chase de Vere has outgrown its current Newcastle office and has opened a larger premises as it expands its business in the North East.

The office, in Hebburn, will initially house 18 IFAs, and the intention, according to David Fishlock, senior manager for Chase de Vere in the North East, is to take on six new advisers this year.

Over the last month, other advisory firms have opened regional offices, such as Hargreave Hale in Nottingham, and with plans to open another one in Norwich, while Rathbone Investment Management has launched an office in Glasgow.

Mr Fishlock said: “We have been growing our team in the North East, and with these new bigger and better premises we can continue to push this forwards.”

The area already has several established advisory firms, such as Lowes Financial Management. Ian Lowes, managing director of the Tyne and Wear-based firm, said: “I did not even know Chase de Vere had an office here in the first place. Not once has one of their team members popped in for a cup of tea. Of course, we welcome the competition.”
