Jupiter postpones Asian Income launch

Jupiter has postponed the launch of Jason Pidcock’s Asian Income fund from next month until 2016 in a bid to better target fund buyers, Investment Adviser understands.

The fund house had intended to launch the fund at the start of December but has now put the launch back to February 15 2016. It is understood Jupiter views that date as a better time at which to market the product.

Mr Pidcock joined Jupiter earlier this year after leaving Newton, where he had ran the firm’s Asian Income fund since launch in 2005.

The Newton Asian Income fund previously managed by Mr Pidcock produced top-quartile returns between its launch in November 2005 and his departure, having returning 180 per cent compared with the FTSE Asia Pacific ex-Japan index’s rise of 165 per cent, data from FE Analytics shows.
