Jupiter adds assistant manager to £2bn Bezalel fund

Jupiter has appointed an assistant fund manager to Ariel Bezalel and added a “more formal structure” to its fixed income team.

Harry Richards, who joined the company in 2011 and moved to the fixed income team in 2013, has been appointed assistant fund manager to Mr Bezalel, and will support him on the £2.6bn Jupiter Strategic Bond fund.

While Mr Richards will provide research input with some responsibility for portfolio construction, idea implementation and support on sales and marketing activities, the company said Mr Bezalel will remain in charge of all investment decisions.

Elsewhere, Katharine Dryer, who joined the asset manager as a product specialist director, fixed income, in 2013, has been appointed as head of investments, fixed income and multi-asset, and will focus on Jupiter’s product range in this area.

Hilary Blandy, who joined the firm in 2012, takes up the role of head of credit research and will report to Miles Geldard, head of strategy, fixed income and multi-asset.

Adam Darling, who was in a temporary role, has become a permanent member of the credit analyst team, while Joe Moxham has joined the team as an analyst.

Chief investment officer Stephen Pearson said: “A more formal structure, with clearly defined roles, is an important step as we seek to develop our offering, and follows recent strengthening of the fixed income risk and technology infrastructure.”
