Ex-Cofunds boss moves to Platform One

Platform One, a wrap platform serving both UK and international advisers, has named former Cofunds chief executive Clive Boothman as its chairman.

Mr Boothman founded wrap platform Ascentric in 2005 and was chairman up until 2014.

Prior to that he worked as chief executive of Cofunds between 2002 and 2003.

He was also the first chief executive of Schroders’ unit trusts business, and was chairman of the Investment Association’s predecessor, the Association of Unit Trusts & Investment Funds.

Michael Fordham, managing director of Platform One and formerly a founder of Ascentric with Mr Boothman, said his appointment as chairman was “well timed” as the company looks to expand the services it offers to the advised high net worth sector in the UK and in the international space.
