Axa IM’s Harlow replaces Lowson on small-cap fund

Dan Harlow has replaced Henry Lowson as lead manager on the Axa Framlington UK Small Companies fund as the latter departs the firm.

Mr Lowson had been lead manager of the £286m fund since 2012 but his departure makes way for Mr Harlow to return to fund he co-managed with Chris St John until 2011.

Mr Harlow joined Axa IM in 2010 to manage the small cap fund but moved over to become co-manager of the Axa Framlington American Growth fund in 2011, alongside Stephen Kelly.

He will leave his US equity responsibilities and Axa IM said it will recruit a co-manager for the American Growth fund to join Mr Kelly. Axa Framlington Global Technology fund manager Jeremy Gleeson will support in the interim.

Axa IM head of wholesale Rob Bailey said Mr Harlow’s return was a “natural step”.
