Brooks Macdonald takes on Ben Mackie

Brooks Macdonald has named Ben Mackie, formerly of Charles Stanley, as its new investment director. Based in the firm’s Taunton office, Mr Mackie will manage discretionary portfolios for a range of clients, as well as help grow the firm’s adviser network in the South West.

Richard Whitehouse has joined platform provider Platform Black as sales director. He was previously at Aldermore Bank, AIB, and Royal Bank of Scotland.

PKF Littlejohn has appointed Catherine Heyes as a partner, two years after she joined the firm as a senior tax manager. Her promotion brings the total number of tax partners and directors to eight and the number of partners to 36.

Marc Cane has left Ingenious Media Limited, where he was group compliance officer, to take on the role of group head of compliance and risk at WHIreland.

LGIM Real Assets has named Adam Russell as transactions manager in its build-to-rent team. He was previously with Fizzy Living.

The Consulting Consortium has made two board appointments. Matt Hodey, formerly of Deloitte, has been named director of strategy and markets; while Andy Sutherland, previously of Huntswood, has been appointed managing director of advisory services.
