Mark Brown, director of the firm, said the Family Fundamentals service would also provide basic legal essentials such as making a will.

He added: “We understand that many people today are under increasing time and financial pressures, meaning they often overlook some of the fundamental legal, financial and taxation issues they face.

“Matters such as wills, protecting family income, savings provision and ensuring too much tax is not paid are all important but are often pushed to the bottom of the list.

“This is because people are unable to address these without the time, trouble and effort involved in engaging a number of different service providers.”

Mr Brown said the firm was partnering with accountancy practice Larking Gowen and the solicitor firm Hatch Brenner to launch the programme.

He said the process to apply for a Family Fundamentals report starts with the completion of a questionnaire. This will be analysed by qualified individuals who will produce a will and a comprehensive report based on a traffic-light system that highlights where action needs to be taken.

Mr Brown added: “After receiving their health check report and a draft of their will, people will have the opportunity to discuss its findings and recommendations with a qualified individual from each organisation.

“Our objective is to provide clear user-friendly information and access to professional advice to help individuals and their families plan and protect their financial objectives.”
