Royal London has announced that Roger Edwards, managing director of UK protection, will be leaving the company.

He has been at the company for 12 years.

Hugh McKee, chief executive of Royal London’s intermediary division, said that the division is being restructured to help deliver efficiency while continuing to provide strong expertise in its “chosen markets”.

He said: “Roger Edwards has decided not to be considered for a role in the new structure and will leave the company in due course to pursue new challenges. I would like to thank Roger for his very significant contribution throughout his twelve years with Royal London and to wish him well in the future.

“Roger will continue in his current role in the meantime and will support a smooth transition to the new structure of the intermediary division.”
