Aviva Investors’ multi-asset manager Justin Onuekwusi has left the company “to pursue other opportunities”.

Mr Onuekwusi ran five risk-rated multi-asset funds for Aviva Investors, which will be taken on by deputy manager Nick Samouilhan and co-head of multi-manager Peter Fitzgerald.

A statement from Aviva Investors said: “Multi-asset funds at Aviva Investors have always been managed with a team based investment process with investment decisions being taken by the fund managers based on inputs from the wider multi-asset solutions group of 21 investment professionals. We do not anticipate any changes to the investment process.”

The Aviva Investors Multi-Asset II, IV and V funds were launched in November 2010, with Multi-Asset I and III funds being added in February 2012. The funds currently have roughly £288m in assets.

In the 12 months to June 4 the Multi-Asset IV fund posted the best gain, returning 20 per cent.
