SMEs are poorly served by uncompetitive banking sector

In an update from its ongoing report into the services banks offered SMEs, the watchdog concluded there were not enough incentives in place for mainstream lenders to compete on price, service or quality, which made it harder for smaller businesses to shop around for the best deals.
