First State has hired a portfolio manager from Fidelity for its global emerging markets and worldwide equity team.
Ashish Swarup has joined the First State Stewart team and the firm said he would be “part of the group responsible for managing emerging market and worldwide equity portfolios”.
Mr Swarup had been with Fidelity for more than 10 years, initially as a research analyst then as a portfolio manager.
