Post Office launches new mortgage deals

The Post Office has expanded its mortgage range to include new buy-to-let and residential mortgage deals, including a 3-year fixed rate deal at 75 per cent loan-to-value.

This mortgage is offered at a rate of 2.48 per cent with a £1,495 fee. Other products include a 1.98 per cent 2-year fixed rate mortgage at 75 per cent LTV with a £995 fee.

On the residential side, the Post Office is offering a 2.98 per cent 3-year fixed rate mortgage at 60 per cent LTV with no fee and a 3.59 per cent 5-year fixed rate mortgage at 60 per cent LTV with no fee.

In terms of buy-to-let, there is also a 3.75 per cent 5-year fixed rate mortgage at 60 per cent LTV with a £1,995 fee, and a 4.09 per cent 5-year fixed rate mortgage at 75 per cent LTV with a £1,995 fee.

John Willcock, head of Post Office mortgages, said: “In a competitive market it is important to stand out, and with our rates and service offering we are able to offer customers an alternative to traditional high-street lenders, whether they’re looking for a residential or buy-to-let mortgage.”
