Henderson Global Investors has sliced the charges on its Henderson UK Tracker fund from 1 per cent to 0.5 per cent.

A spokesperson for Henderson said the fund was an “outlier” in that almost all the other Henderson passive funds had a cheaper price.

It added no further changes to its passive fund range were planned.

Asset managers have been scrambling to offer competitive pricing on passive funds. Most recently, on October 30, Legal and General Investment Management cut prices on 13 of its retail index funds.
