Equiniti unveils £99 Sipp

Equiniti has launched a £99 (plus VAT) Sipp in response to feedback calling for greater simplicity, operational efficiency and reliability to customers’ investing experience.

Mark Taylor, managing director of Equiniti’s investment services division, said: “Customers deserve to be able to manage their retirement funds without being hit with charges that they don’t understand – particularly at a time of significant change to the pension landscape.”

Launched in conjunction with provider Gaudi Regulated Services

No hidden fees or complex charges

It has also launched a iOS trading phone app to help customers stay on top of their portfolios when on the move.

Daren O’Brien, financial adviser at London-based Aurora Financial Solutions, said: “You are only paying for the wrapper so you still need to pay for the investments, unless they are leaving it in a cash bank account, which is unlikely.

“So the Sipp element is cheap but there are the costs of the investments. However, it could mean people get a decent price for Sipps as it will create competition, which is a good thing for the market.”
