John Laing Infrastructure manager Marshall to retire

The John Laing Infrastructure Fund (JLIF) has been dealt a blow as co-manager David Marshall has decided to retire on July 1.

Mr Marshall had led the investment team on the infrastructure investment trust alongside Andrew Charlesworth since the trust was launched in 2010.

After Mr Marshall’s retirement from John Laing Capital Management (JLCM), which runs the trust, Mr Charlesworth will continue to lead the team, supported by director of investments Joanne Gibbins and director of asset management Jamie Pritchard.

Paul Lester, chairman of JLIF, said: “Much of the success of the company has resulted from David’s conscientious and professional approach and we wish him well in his retirement.

“We look forward to continue working with Andrew Charlesworth and the team at JLCM dedicated to JLIF.”
