Natwest launches online mortgage application tracker

Natwest Intermediary Solutions has launched a new ‘real-time’ online mortgage application tracking system, enabling brokers to monitor and manage the progress of each individual application.

The Mortgage Application Tracker will be available from the home page of its intermediary website and brokers will be able to track applications whether they were submitted through the MTE or directly through the site.

As long as advisers are already registered with the lender, they do not need to register separately to use the service.

Once logged on to the page, they just need to enter a customer’s mortgage reference number, date of birth and surname to get a detailed update.

The service provides intermediaries with a comprehensive ‘real-time’ view for each customer. The tracker splits the application process into four steps: assessment, valuation, offer and completion

Sarah Taylor, service development manager at Natwest Intermediary Solutions, said it will bring valuable time-saving benefits.

“Whereas previously they had to pick up the phone or exchange emails to get an update, they can now log on and get a full view of a customer’s application in a matter of seconds.

“We expect that this will lead to a significant reduction in the number of calls that brokers need to make. Not only will intermediaries save time, they will be better informed.”
