I have just read Adam Samuel’s excellent piece on the FCA (FA, 4 February) and his comments therein, in my opinion, are fully justified.
Being in the industry for half a century, I remember all too well the former heads of the FSA and the FCA and their unsuccessful agendas.
However, he did not elaborate on who was the main architect of the Retail Distribution Review. We now know the unintended consequences of this review was to alienate the mass market from the advice process.
