Lighthouse extends advice deal

Lighthouse Group has renewed its contract with benefit management specialist Parliament Hill.

The financial advice firm today (15 March) announced it will continue to be the preferred provider of financial advice for Parliament Hill members for a further two years.

Parliament Hill, which has two million members, manages benefits packages for more than 80 organisations, including major institutions and associations such as trade unions, colleges, clubs and societies.

Members will be able to access advice on retirement planning, mortgages and investments for a further two years.

Andrew Holden, director of Parliament Hill, said the contract renewal means the firm can continue to offer financial planning assistance to its members on a national basis.

Lighthouse has a growing list of affinity partnerships, which include employee organisations such as Unite, Prospect, and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).

In January, the Lighthouse Group agreed a new contract with the University and College Union.

Malcolm Streatfield, chief executive of Lighthouse said the board plans to increase its affinity partnerships throughout the UK.

Last year, the advice firm saw profit before tax jump 50 per cent to £0.9m, compared with £0.6m in 2014.
