Aldermore has appointed Clive Briggs to head of regional sales for the invoice finance division.

Mr Briggs will raise awareness of the bank’s invoice finance proposition in North Lancashire, Fylde and Preston.

Aldermore claims that small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) are using invoice finance and factoring as a means to improve cashflows and fund expansion plans.

Mr Briggs has considerable experience in the invoice finance market having previously worked with RBS, NatWest, Venture Finance and Close Invoice Finance, where he held the responsibility to connect to business owners, accountants and brokers.

Martine Catton, regional sales director for Aldermore Invoice Finance, said: “Mr Briggs already has considerable experience working with brokers and small and medium sized businesses in the North West and will therefore be able to make an immediate impact. I would like to wish him every success for the future.”

Mr Briggs said: “I’m delighted to have joined an organisation which has such a strong reputation for being very focussed on the needs of small and medium sized businesses. Aldermore offers a range of competitive products and services for SMEs and I’m looking forward to helping business owners in the North West.”
