Michelle Wright has joined RBC Wealth Management, part of Royal Bank of Canada, as director on the company’s UK private client wealth management team.

Ms Wright will work with advisers in the UK and build relationships with high net worth individuals with links to the Greater New York and East coast areas.

Ms Wright joins from Barclays Wealth, where she worked as a private banker focusing on financial industry professionals and US citizens residing in the UK. Prior to working at Barclays Wealth, she spent five years with Lehman Brothers as an investment representative for ultra high net worth individuals, family offices, foundations and charities.

Mike Moodie, UK head of RBC Wealth Management, said: “Ms Wright’s appointment is further proof of our dedication to US clients in London at a time when many UK wealth managers are deciding to scale back or exit the market.

“Our investments business in London has held a SEC licence for over a decade and we’re well-positioned to service increasingly sophisticated clients that are looking to London for a variety of wealth management solutions. We continue to attract high-calibre relationship managers from across the industry and we’re very pleased to have Michelle on board,”
