Financial Adviser news editor Simoney Girard questions a panel of mortgage market experts on the challenges currently facing the market due to continuing lender caution, regulatory pressure on areas such as interest-only and the incoming Mortgage Market Review.

Answering the questions and debating where brokers and advisers should direct their focus as the market recovers, were David Finlay, managing director of the intermediary channel for Barclays UK retail and business banking; Andrew Montlake, director at mortgage intermediary firm Coreco Group; and Matthew Whittaker, senior economist at think-tank Resolution Foundation.
