Key Retirement Solutions has signalled its intent to recruit more than 20 employees for its headquarters in Preston, Lancashire.

The move is part of expansion plans which saw the national financial services firm hire 100 people across the country last year. Paul Wilson, managing director of Key, said the firm intended to hire a further 50 people this year.

He added: “Key is a market leader and we are embarking on a strategic expansion plan. We’re looking to add more people across the whole company at all levels.

“Without doubt the business is going to go from strength to strength in the coming years and we need people to help take the business forward and be part of the success story.”

Mr Wilson said the firm had held a recruitment fair for potential employees.

Ian Roberts, director of Norfolk-based ARW Wealth Managers, said: “The use of equity release, which is a big part of the Key business, will increase in the next few years and should always be considered as a part of the overall planning process.

“But it will remain a niche product in many ways. Our view is that clients have to be 70-plus to make it attractive.”
