Tenet launches social media promotion for advisers

The group’s recently appointed distribution and development director said the new service was compliance-approved and would offer advisers “clear and concise guidelines” for promoting their businesses on social networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

Ms Turner said: “We appreciate the necessity for, and the value of, social media as part of the modern marketing mix.”

The scheme will be rolled out to appointed representatives and directly authorised advisers in June.

Lisa Williams, adviser for Coventry-based TenetLime mortgage brokerage Keys UK Limited, said: “Ninety per cent of my business is attributable to social media activity. Yet some networks impose a blanket ban. It is a vital tool to educate and inform, not to advertise and promote.”
