Mr Newman will take over from Stephen Riley, who has led the association for the past seven years. The IUA aims to promote the business environment for international insurance and reinsurance companies operating in or through London. Speaking after the vote at the association’s annual general meeting, Mr Newman said: “It is an honour to be tasked with chairing the IUA.”
