Saying it is easier for clients is a fantastic defence. I am not a fan of SJP, but promoting simplicity, and at the same time mentioning your training academy, is pure marketing genius. This is something that does have to be said – the company does retain some pretty good people, and its marketing is superb.
Good luck to them. I am quite happy to compete, and do not even mind the playing field being a little tilted, but if I start losing, then I will get upset. The less well-thought-out pieces of RDR were not SJP’s fault – if it has managed to avoid the consequences by way of vertical integration, then I am slightly jealous. Perhaps the company will be in the vanguard of simple clear propositions.
