Letter: Little benefit from offering a date of death at retirement

Given that it is the intention to give the date of death at retirement and the article refers to scenarios well before retirement, I cannot see the point of either figure being of benefit, or to be relied upon with any accuracy.

The only way to achieve a somewhat dubious figure with some degree of accuracy is by feeding in to the equation your personal health circumstances. Doing this for the entire retirement population is therefore unrealistic.
