Former Ignis Asset Management bond manager Chris Bowie is set to join TwentyFour Asset Management.
Mr Bowie had left Ignis in July following its takeover by Standard Life Investments.
He had spent 10 years at Ignis at head of credit, following four years as head of rates at Aegon Asset Management.
