Jupiter’s emerging markets manager Kathryn Langridge and China manager Philip Ehrmann are to leave the group at the end of the year, Investment Adviser can reveal.

The move comes ahead of the arrival of Ross Teverson, who the group announced it had hired in June. He is set to take on the newly created role of head of strategy, global emerging markets at Jupiter.

Mr Teverson will report to the group’s head of investments, Stephen Pearson, who reports to chief investment officer John Chatfeild-Roberts.

Ms Langridge joined Jupiter in September 2010 to launch and run the Jupiter Global Emerging Markets fund. Previously she was the head of the GEM team at Lloyd George Management since 2007.

Mr Ehrmann joined Jupiter in October 2006 and launched the Jupiter China fund during the same month.

“Philip Ehrmann and Kathryn Langridge have decided to leave Jupiter to pursue their careers elsewhere,” a spokeswoman from Jupiter said.

“We are sorry to see them go and wish them both well for the future. They will be with us until the end of the year and we would like to reassure our clients that plans are in place, and will be announced shortly, for the future management of these portfolios.”

Ms Langridge’s Global Emerging Markets fund has delivered a second quartile return of 3.9 per cent since launch compared to the sector’s loss of 2.3 per cent, according to data from FE Analytics.

Mr Ehrmann has delivered a third quartile 98 per cent since taking on the fund in October 2006, shy of the 111.1 per cent average return by peers in the IMA China/Greater China sector, the data provider added.
