Workplace pensions ratings help advisers: F&TRC

The Finance and Technology Research Centre has launched a series of ratings to help increase understanding among advisers and employers over the offering of suitable workplace pensions for their clients.

Overall proposition and eight underlying categories have been taken into consideration when awarding gold, silver and bronze medals to the providers.

Individual categories, such as education, auto-enrolment and investment options, have also been given their own awards to recognise specific areas of excellence.

Those winning the overall gold award were Friends Life, Royal London and Standard Life.

Ian McKenna, Director of F&TRC said: “We are delighted to be in a position to recognise those providers delivering excellence in workplace pensions and congratulate our inaugural Gold Medal winners.”

He added that corporate pension advisers and their employer customers need comprehensive data to inform and complement their due diligence processes.

Mr McKenna added: “All the services F&TRC provide aim to make the advice recommendation process as simple and reliable as possible.”
