Lee Travis, who became head of professional development at the PFS in November, has been confirmed as head of professional development at the Society of Mortgage Professionals. He will replace Gary Little, who has left to take up a new post in the mortgage distribution sector.

Peter Hill, chief executive of Leeds Building Society, has been elected as CML chairman for 2016.

James Rodgers has been appointed to lead Quilter Cheviot’s Bristol office, while Pamela Reid embarks upon a new role as director of services development.

BHP Financial Planning has appointed Jackie Ison as operations director.

Leeds Building Society has hired Fraser Collins as head of decision support. He joins the society from Metro Bank, where he was head of business partnering and financial planning and analysis.

LGIM Real Assets has welcomed Tony Doherty as head of product development in its business development team.

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Didier von Daeniken as its new global head, private banking & wealth management.

The FSCS has a new chief operating officer in Jimmy Barber, who was previously operations development director at the RSA Insurance Group. The FSCS has also promoted Kathryn Sherratt to the role of chief financial officer.

James Hay Partnership has augmented its sales department with Sam Turner and David Lucas as platform consultants. Further hires have been made in the strategic account managers’ team, with Nicholas Sleep joining from LV= and Andy Mackleworth joining from Axa Life Invest. Emily Trenouth joins as a business development manager from Metlife.
