Skipton Intermediaries launches web chat service

A new web chat service is being launched by Skipton Intermediaries for all of its broker partners.

The web service is part of the company’s promise to offer more support to brokers and will be available between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Paul Darwin, director of Skipton Intermediary Relationships, said the new service will provide brokers with another channel for communicating with the lender.

Matthew Harris, IFA at Dalbeath Financial Planning, said: “We find these web-chat services very useful, as it avoids sitting on hold listening to recorded music, and generally gets us much faster responses.

“We would welcome all providers offering this type of service, so are delighted that Skipton have introduced it.

“Having said that, Skipton generally had one of the best telephone sales support services anyway, with friendly and well informed advisers, but having the option of an online service can’t hurt.”
