Sterling dropped to a 31-year low, the FTSE 250 - a bellwether index for the domestic economy - lost 7.9 per cent of its value the day the vote was announced.

Nine property funds from seven property fund managers suspended trading and according to Zoopla, the writer of this guide (Simoney Kyriakou’s) house price dropped £40,000 in nominal value from 23 June to 10 July.

Yet despite this immediate jolt, most markets bounced back within a couple of weeks.

While data shows the UK economy has been resilient so far, there are some headwinds.

This guide aims to cover Brexit’s potential effect on: property and property funds; gilt yields and pension planning; investment portfolios; cash holdings; and, last but not least, taxation. This guide will deliver what you need to know to handle Brexit bemused clients.
