When is the FCA going to show financial advisers a little respect in the way they refer to the people that we help? I run a professional advice service as a financial adviser and I refer to the people I advise as clients, not customers.
Customers are usually people who go into shops and buy things over a counter.
We are governed by a myriad of regulations and as such I expect my regulator, who is always saying they want us to become more professional, to treat us with a greater degree of recognition of that professionalism, by referring to our clients as clients, not customers.
Perhaps someone from The FCA would respond.
