Odey and Brook funds to be 'rehoused' with other asset managers

The fallout from the sexual assault allegations against Crispin Odey published in the Financial Times continues.

This morning partners in Odey Asset Management announced they are in "advanced discussions" over rehousing its funds and transferring staff to rival asset managers.

This includes the Brook Asset Management funds which, as we covered earlier this week, are held by a number of allocators.

One of these, Brook Absolute Return, has been suspended by its administrator Link. It is held by 7IM and Waverton.

Odey Swan was liquidated after Schroders sold it from its multi-manager range and Brook Developed Markets has also been suspended (though it not owned by any allocators we cover).

Brook Continental European, which is held in Columbia Threadneedle's multi-manager range, remains open.

Given the turmoil, this is probably one of the better outcomes investors could have hoped for.
