The Initiative for Financial Wellbeing (IFW) has added two well-known names in the financial advice industry to its board.

Ruth Sturkey, non-executive director at Paradigm Norton, has joined the board as vice chair and Clive Waller, chairperson at the Investment Network and managing director at CWC Research, has joined in the role of ambassador.

Waller joins the firm with over 35 years experience of working with financial advisers, as well as running a members’ only forum within the investment industry.

Meanwhile, Sturkey co-founded boutique financial planning firm The Red House, which subsequently merged with Paradigm Norton in 2017

IFW said both Sturkey and Waller have a keen interest in financial wellbeing and are eager to support the push for change within the financial services industry with regards to how it can be practically implemented within businesses.

Nick Marsh, chief executive officer of the IFW, said: “We are delighted that Ruth and Clive have joined us here at the IFW and are lending us their considerable financial knowledge and credibility to our cause.

“We’re looking forward to working with them both as we focus on change for good,  raising awareness of how financial wellbeing can be utilised as a tool offering far-reaching benefits to advisors, planners and coaches, and, as a result, their clients.”

The IFW is a non-profit membership-based organisation which launched in September 2019. It provides research, tools and knowledge focused on financial wellbeing.
