"Nothing can happen unless somebody does something" was one of the resonating messages at FTAdviser's Diversity in Finance Awards 2023.
Now in their fifth year, the Awards played host to guests at the luxurious Biltmore Mayfair, in London last night (June 22).
We celebrated all those winners, highly commended and shortlisted individuals and companies who have worked hard to make equity, diversity and inclusion a reality.
With 20 different award categories, large corporates and small advisory businesses alike were applauded for their efforts over the past 12 months to help make Britain's financial services better for colleagues, customers and the community.
Guests heard from keynote speaker Sandy Downs, senior account manager at Team Spirit, who talked movingly about her experiences and how important it is for every individual to take steps forward to drive positive change.
The brilliantly talented comedian, actor and presenter Aurie Styla also shared his encounters from his travels around the globe, speaking truth with great humour and warmth as he engaged with the audience.
Later today, you will be able to see all the photos from the evening, meet our judges and read case studies on how companies made a big leap forward over the past 12 months in terms of ED&I, as well as watch a highlights video from the evening.
So - watch this space!
