Ascentric adds Ashburton funds to platform

Royal London-owned Ascentric has added a range of funds from Ashburton Investments to its platform, meaning UK investors can now access its equity and multi-asset funds.

Jersey-based Ashburton, which is the investment arm of the FirstRand Group, now has four funds on the platform, including its Global Energy fund, the India Equity Opportunities, Africa Equity Opportunities and India Fixed Income Opportunities offerings.

The investment firm launched a sterling class for each of the four Luxembourg-domiciled funds back in March this year.

Justin Blower, head of sales at Ascentric, said adviser demand had prompted the platform to add the funds, adding: “We are happy to provide the tools needed to help advisers build their portfolios.”

Matthew Kemp, head of UK wholesale for Ashburton Investments, said the move enables the company to extend the reach of its service to UK investors.

The funds are part of the Ashburton Investments Luxembourg-domiciled Sicav range.
