Together announces record loan book

Together Financial Services, the specialist lender, announced record lending volumes in the third quarter, driving the company’s lending book to a new high.

Mike McTighe, group chairman of Together, said the company had maintained its strong growth momentum in the quarter.

He said the company’s weighted average origination loan-to-values (LTVs) were at a "highly conservative" 58.8 per cent, while net impairments were just 0.1 per cent of the loan book.

The loan book is now at £2.78bn, up 30.8 per cent.

He said: "We also continued to invest in our people, products, distribution channels, systems and governance during the quarter to further enhance our platform to support our growth ambitions, while still delivering strong levels of profit and cash generation."

However, profit before tax dropped compared with the same period the previous year, from £29.7m to £28.9m.

It was also less than the £31.5m in the second quarter of 2018.
