Bank of Ireland expands new build mortgage range

Bank of Ireland UK is rolling out its new build mortgages after a successful trial of the range.

Brokers across England and Wales will now be able to access the products, after the provider worked with intermediaries over the course of the trial to improve its criteria for incentives, LTVs and affordability calculations.

As part of the move Bank of Ireland has also implemented a dedicated new build team.

Andrew Montlake, director at mortgage broker Coreco, said: “Bank of Ireland has been a good example of how to release products into the market, carefully working out any issues before offering to the whole market. This will provide some additional and much-needed choice in the new built market, where service levels and advice are key.”

Craig Hall, new build manager at Legal & General Mortgage Club, said: “This further complements Bank of Ireland UK’s market offering and provides a greater choice for intermediaries and their customers.”

Alison Pallett, director at Bank of Ireland UK, added: “We’re committed to provider solutions to brokers’ needs to help them serve more customers and have worked hard to develop a proposition that will benefit both brokers and their customers.”
