Mortgage platform LendInvest has announced a partnership with Chetwood Financial Limited worth £500mn.

The deal will see investment focus on part of LendInvest’s future mortgage originations for its buy-to-let and residential products.

“This funding follows our recent sale of a portfolio of residential buy-to-let mortgages to Chetwood for £243mn, and further strengthens our partnership with the business,” LendInvest chief executive Rod Lockhart said.

The Chetwood investment follows other recent partnerships with LendInvest, including Barclays, Lloyds, HSBC and JP Morgan.

"The commitment from Chetwood underscores the growing confidence and trust that numerous financial partners have placed in LendInvest,” Lockhart added.

“This investment will strengthen our BTL proposition and newly launched residential mortgage product, empowering us to provide competitive products to  professional landlords and prospective homeowners across the nation."

LendInvest specialises in complex buy-to-let mortgage cases, with the group recently branching into residential products too.

An investment from Lloyds Bank saw it enter the residential space at the beginning of this year.

To date Lloyds has invested £300mn in the platform.
