CI Expert made available to SJP partners

St James’s Place has partnered with CI Expert to make the analysis service available to its partners.

CI Expert allows intermediaries to carry out an analysis for each individual client to identify the critical illness plan that is the best match for their needs.

The service utilises an extensive statistical database to evaluate competing plans and generates a detailed analysis by condition of both current and existing plans.

Tony Mudd, divisional director of tax and technical support for St James’s Place, said: “The industry is well supported by a wide range of high quality investment analysis tools, however by comparison the protection sector is poorly served.

“We believe that CI Expert is breaking new ground with a unique service that can provide our partners with an in depth analysis and professional assessment when assessing critical illness cover for their clients.

“As providers continue to enhance their policies, comparing the relative merits between them is increasingly complex. The simplicity and speed of the system provides clarity of understanding that can be conveyed to clients in a way that is easy for them to comprehend.”

Alan Lakey, director at CI Expert, said: “While we welcome the continuous improvement of CI plans it inevitably makes the role of the adviser a more onerous one.

“We are focused on providing a service that supports the adviser in providing the best insight available to select the appropriate CI protection in a timely and efficient manner, whilst at the same time ensuring that meets the compliance requirements.

“We are delighted that St James’s Place recognise the value of our service and we look forward to working closely with their partners.”
