PFS names FTAdviser trade title of the year

FTAdviser and Financial Adviser won the Trade Press Personal Finance Publication of the Year award at last night’s Personal Finance Society awards.

The professional body’s top trade title prize gong came just one week after FTAdviser won the trophy for personal finance trade/professional website of the year at the Santander UK Media Awards.

At a glittering ceremony at Wembley Stadium, the Personal Finance Society also named Simoney Kyriakou, FTAdviser’s content plus editor, Trade Press Personal Finance Journalist of the Year.

The Telegraph’s Richard Dyson was named national newspaper personal finance journalist of the year while our sister newspaper the Financial Times’ Josephine Cumbo scooped the National Newspaper Specialist Consumer Journalist of the Year prize.

Financial advisers also won top prizes at the Personal Finance Society’s awards. Lyn New received a lifetime achievement award.

Jill Ellicott was named winner of the Money planner of the year award and Warren Bentham scooped the Paraplanner of the year trophy.

Hazel Allinson, from Norwich-based Chartered financial planning firm Smith & Pinching, won the award for Mortgage and Protection Advice Specialist of the year and David Thomson was named Investment advice specialist of the year.

Jonathon McColgan, director and chartered financial planner at Combined Financial Strategies, won the award for Retirement and Later Life Advice specialist of the year and winner of the Chartered Financial Planning firm of the year was Lift-Financial Group Ltd.

Kathryn Gannon was named Chartered Financial Planner of the Year.
