SimplyBiz to rollout 320 events in 2017

The SimplyBiz group has announced its programme of around 320 face-to-face events that are scheduled to take place over the year.

The roadshows will cover a range of business areas including specialist events and workshops focusing on investments, mortgages, protection, pensions and giving corporate advice.

In addition, the Group’s not-for-profit learning and development division, the New Model Business Academy will deliver four series of meetings throughout the year on soft skills, professional and personal development and the sharing of best practice between advisers.

Rachel Lee, group strategic relations and events director at SimplyBiz, said: “The SimplyBiz Group events programme has grown year on year following demand from the firms who use our services and the feedback they give us on what they would like to see covered.

“Over the past 12 months, we’ve widened the range of business areas covered with the addition of events covering non-mainstream investment, utilising technology to increase efficiency in the advice process and building and delivering a workplace proposition.”

She added: “Both the CII and the London Institute of Banking and Finance accredited our events programme, demonstrating our commitment to ensure that all content featured in presentations and literature is genuinely valuable to our member firms and, crucially, the way in which they work with their clients.”

Allan Maxwell, director of Glasgow based Corporate Benefits Consulting, said: “I usually pick up one nugget of information that I didn’t know prior to the event so these roadshows can be useful. It also gives you the opportunity to speak with fellow advisers and share best practice and allows us to converse and question industry experts. It goes towards the CPD total for the year which is another plus.”
