SolutionBuilder receives boost from iPipeline, 360 Donet link

Financial services technology firm iPipeline has synergised with a firm specialising in software for intermediaries to augment its research, quote and apply protection portal for advisers.

The partnership means advisers that access the tech firm’s SolutionBuilder portal through 360 Donet’s client management system - 360 Lifecycle - can research and compare both single and multi-benefit protection products on one screen.

Client data is entered and stored within 360 Lifecycle, when it is then securely entered into SolutionBuilder - enabling advisers to research and quote multiple products including life, critical illness and income protection with minimal data input, according to iPipeline. Results can be compared side by side, it added.

Key documents are taken from SolutionBuilder back into 360 Lifecycle for further reference and compliance purposes.

Paul Yates, product strategy director at iPipeline, said: “SolutionBuilder has a track record of growing protection businesses. We can demonstrate significant growth in the number of multi-benefit sales along with a marked increase in premium values when user groups move to SolutionBuilder.

The product was initially with St Albans based financial advisory practice Lifetime Group

Mr Yates added: “Working with progressive companies, such as Lifetime Group and 360 Dotnet, allows us to further demonstrate how technology like SolutionBuilder is key in helping drive protection sales and enabling advisers to deliver the best possible client outcomes.”

Alan Solomons, director London based Alpha Investments & Financial Planning, said: “I have access to two protection portals. They should ensure that the price, adviser commission and brief summary of the key feature of each product are clearly signposted. Sometimes a provider can have a number of income protection products, for example, and it is difficult to ascertain why they are priced differently. I do not want to spend hours comparing every product to find the one that is best suited to a client.”
